Presentation Summary: This poster presentation will describe the creation, design, and outcomes of a new inter-professional trauma informed care program for underrepresented communities that include people with opioid use diagnoses and agencies that serve them. After viewing this poster, participant clinicians should be able to utilize part of all of this program at their facilities to inform their treatment. This initiative will be funded for four years by a Human Resources and Services Administration’s (HRSA) Behavioral Health Workforce and Education Training (BHWET) Grant.
Learning Objectives:
At the completion of this activity, participants will:
Describe a newly developed interprofessional trauma-informed care program for underrepresented communities that include people with opioid use diagnoses and agencies that serve them.
Describe how models of trauma informed practices such as the model of Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency (ARC) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) can be applied to a program.
Implement part or all of this program at their facilities.
