Presentation Summary: While numerous opioid treatment programs have historically favored conservative methadone induction approaches, adapting these protocols to the heightened potency of synthetic opioids like fentanyl is essential. To address this issue, a team of physicians associated with Baymark Health Services conducted an extensive literature review and collaborated to establish consensus guidance on high-dose methadone induction. This guidance underwent experimental testing in a multi-site pilot research study. This poster presents an outline of the high-dose methadone induction guidance developed by Baymark Health Services and provides an assessment of initial findings from the pilot study.
