Patti Juliana, PhD, LCSW is the Director for CSAT’s Division of Pharmacologic Therapies. She has extensive clinical and administrative experience in opioid treatment services and has led a continuum of inpatient and outpatient SUD prevention and treatment services in hospital and in community-based settings. She served as an OTP accreditation surveyor, provided technical assistance to OTP’s and states on provision of quality OTP services and implementation of evidence-based practices. Throughout her career, she integrated comprehensive SUD treatment services and general medical services to reduce barriers to service delivery and improve access to care. She has demonstrated a commitment to workforce development by serving on NYS’s counselor credentialing and peer certification boards, facilitated placement of students in SUD treatment services, conducted staff training and taught SUD in MSW programs. Dr. Juianai holds a doctorate in social work. She is a clinical social worker licensed in NY and CT and a certified trauma professional. She conducted research and service evaluation studies and has been published in a variety of journals and textbooks on issues related to opioid use and treatment.
