Jeffrey DeVido, MD, MTS, FAPA, FASAM completed medical school at Columbia University, followed by adult psychiatry residency and addiction psychiatry fellowship at Massachusetts General/McLean Hospitals at Harvard Medical School. Following training, Dr. DeVido was full time faculty on the consultation-liaison psychiatry service at UCSF. While he remains on volunteer faculty at UCSF, continuing to teach medical students, residents, and addiction psychiatry fellows, in 2016 he transitioned to working with the department of health and human services in Marin County, CA as Chief of Addiction Services where he helps oversee co-occurring serious mental illness and substance use disorder clinic operations and local medicaid substance use program development. In addition, Dr. DeVido is also Behavioral Health Clinical Director with Partnership HealthPlan of California, a medicaid managed care plan covering 24 northern California counties. He is a member of APA's Council on Addiction, and has been a longstanding member of the board of directors at the AAAP in various capacities. Dr. DeVido has published and presented nationally on a wide range of topics related to behavioral health topics including: MAT, behavioral health integration in various healthcare settings, neurobiology of addiction, emerging uses of hallucinogens in behavioral health treatment, naloxone and harm reduction approaches to SUD treatment. He enjoys fly fishing and horror movies, but preferably not at the same time.
