Zac Talbott is a native of Eastern Tennessee and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Social Work in Advanced Clinical Practice. Zac curretly serves as the President of Talbott Legacy Centers (TLC), l/b/n The Patricia Hall Talbott Legacy Centers, LLC, a company that oversees and/or operates nonresidential opioid treatment programs (OTPs) in Tennessee and Georgia. Zac holds graduate level licensure and/or certification in Georgia and Tennessee as an addiction counselor and clinical supervisor; clinical social worker; interationally reciprocal credentials through IC&RC; and a Master Addiction Counselor through the NCC AP. In addition to his work with TLC, Zac served as President and Chairman of the Board of the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia (ADACBGA) and as President and Chairman of the National Alliance for Medication Assisted Recovery (NAMA Recovery) through December 31st, 2023. Zac has been a national Recovery Month Planning Partner with SAMHSA since 2014. Zac recently served on the SAMHSA Consensus Panel that developed TIP 65 (Counseling Approaches to Promote Recovery from Problematic Substance Use and Related Issues), SAMHSA Expert Panel updating the Federal Guidelines for Opioid Treatment Programs, and the SAMHSA technical expert panel on Establishing National Guiding Criteria for Effective Substance Use Disorder Care. Zac received the Richard Lane/Robert Holden MAT Patient Advocacy Award at 2018 in Orlando from AATOD and the Lisa Mojer-Torres Award from Faces and Voices of Recovery in 2021.
