Gloria Miele, PhD is Program Director and Chair of Continuing Medical Educaiton at the University of California Los Angeles Integrated Substance Abuse Programs (UCLA ISAP) in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology. In her role at UCLA, she helps lead training and technical assistance initiatives on opioid, stimulant, and other substance use disorders for California's health care workforce. She was Training Director for NIDA's Clinical Trials Network's New York Node and Instructor of Clinical Psychology at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons for 20 years. She is co-author of Trauma Services for Women in Substance Abuse Treatment (APA Press, 2010), as well as dozens of peer-reviewed and other publications. She volunteers for a variety of non-profits and boards, including the Scientific Advisory Board for the International Center on Responsible Gaming (ICRG). Other interests include leadership development in nonprofit and healthcare settings and self-care for helping professionals.
