Lauren Beal is a Grants and Community Program Analyst in the Washoe County Office of the County Manager Community Reinvestment Team. Within this role she is managing the Washoe Opioid Abatement and Recovery Fund. Lauren is a dedicated public health professional with extensive experience in program management, research coordination, and policy advocacy. Holding a Master of Public Health in Population and Family Health from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, Lauren has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at addressing the intersections of opioid use, legal system involvement, and community health. Lauren is committed to data-informed decision-making and community empowerment and has worked nationally and internationally to build the capacity of communities to develop comprehensive approaches to addressing OUD that center the healing and wellbeing of all.
