Mrs. Tsvetana Stoykova is a clinical psychologist and psychodynamic psychotherapist living in Sofia, Bulgaria, with more than 20 years of experience in psychotherapy, mental health and addiction treatment field. Her clinical and research work have been directed to providing comprehensive care and psychotherapy integration in addiction treatment. Since 2003 she had invested sustained professional efforts to promote and develop methadone-assisted psychotherapy and quality therapeutic models of addiction treatment in Bulgaria. She serves as Therapeutic Director and Senior Therapist at the Kantchelov Clinic in Sofia with the duties to coordinate therapeutic activities and clinical procedures, facilitate team interactions and insure quality of therapeutic process. The Clinic develops and implements integrative therapeutic models, incorporating MI as a central counseling style, together with cognitive-behavior therapy and psychodynamic therapy. In 2013 the Kantchelov Clinic Sofia have been acknowledged as a Model Clinic of the World Federation for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence. Mrs. Stoykova is also Member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.
