I have worked with opioid use disorders for 30 years. My career began as a research assistant and as I learned about the population I wanted to move into a clinical role. The complexity of the individuals pulled me in and made me want to do more to help. I saw the impact chronic pain had for this population and the lack of treatment options available. I am fortunate to work for an agency and with researchers dedicated to finding solutions to help clients with comorbid pain.
