Dr. Gerard is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained addiction medicine and general preventive medicine/public health physician working as medical director of a New Jersey-based OTP. She also has graduate-level training in advocacy, bioethics, and public health. Dr. Gerard has a broad interest in matters of biopsychosocial-spiritual health and quality-of-life improvement, especially centered in prevention, harm reduction, and an ethics of care. In addiction care, Dr. Gerard holds a passion for methadone maintenance treatment and enhancing access to safe care to support retention-in-treatment.
