Dr. Barry is a clinical psychologist and Professor of Psychiatry and in Child Study at Yale School of Medicine. His research is funded by two NIH grants and focuses on: (1) treatments for patients with opioid use disorder and chronic pain and (2) examining the role of biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors in the occurrence and treatment of pain and addictions. Dr. Barry is Substance Use Disorder Section Co-editor at Pain Medicine, Pain and Addiction Co-section Editor at Current Addiction Reports, and is Associate Editor of the Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health.
