Angelo Giovanni Icro Maremmani, MD, PhD

Specialist in Psychiatry at the University of Pisa, PhD at the University of Siena.
He obtained a II level Master's degree in "Pharmaco-Toxicological and Behavioral Addictions" at the University of Pisa and in March 2017 the National Scientific Qualification forassociate professor in Psychiatry.
He was a Research Fellow at Rockefeller University (New York, USA) and the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada) during his specialist training. He is currently a lecturer at the Master's in "adult neurodevelopmental psychopathology" (University of Pisa), in "addiction medicine" (UniCamillus, Rome) and at the "School of Specialization in Transactional Analytical Psychotherapy (PerFormat, Pisa ) He is part of the Editorial Board of the journal "Heroin Addiction and Related Clinical Problems", "Frontiers" in the "Addictive Disorders" section and "Austin Addiction Sciences". He worked as a full-time Medical Director at the Psychiatry Unit, Local Health Authority of North West Tuscany (Versilia area) from May 2016 to March 2024.
He is president of the Italian section of WADD and of the "Society of Clinical and Experimental Psychiatry of the School of Pisa" and a member of the national board of SITD.
He is co-author of more than 150 scientific articles indexed on scopus (H-index 25, Citations 1996) and has taken part in more than 50 international and national conferences as a speaker.
