I was trained as a psychiatrist, but I have worked as medical director and full time on-site clinic physician in methadone clinics for 40 years.
I have published a number of research papers on nursing on methadone, pregnancy outcomes for neonates exposed to methadone, and recently on methadone metabolism. For the past 8 years, i have focused my research on split dose methadone, especially in pregnancy, and on laboratory measures of methadone metabolism especially the methadone/metabolite ratio (MMR).
