Presentation Summary: Moderated by Mr. Mark Parrino, the Closing Plenary Session will feature dynamic keynote addresses for conference attendees!

Dr. Terry Kerns will share her experience as the liaison between treatment and law enforcement. Dr. Kerns will also discuss the process of increasing access to treatment in a safe and effective way by integrating treatment within the criminal justice settings, hospitals, and Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs). Following Dr. Kerns, Joel Johnson, a friend of ISSUP (International Society of Substance Use Professionals) will provide an international perspective on the opioid crisis and solutions for a more integrated approach to treatment focusing on community-based treatment and recovery support.
