Presentation Summary: The use of telehealth has shown to be an effective model of service delivery for individuals suffering from opioid use disorder. However significant barriers to treatment restrict access to proper care and treatment needed to address physical, behavioral and social health needs. To enhance treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton implemented what is known as Virtual Exam Rooms. Virtual Exam Rooms provide comprehensive care in the form of telemedicine, connecting consumers to medication assisted treatment, primary care, behavioral health and other healthcare prescribers while incorporating an integrated behavioral health and medical care management program.

Describe the potential challenges along with solutions to using a telehealth/virtual exam room model in a behavioral healthcare setting.
Identify ways to replicate/implement virtual exam rooms as an enhanced treatment model for opioid use disorder.
