P04 - Strategies to Increase Access and Utilization of OTP Services Through Expansion of Hours, Community Partnerships, and Reduction of Stigma

Presentation Summary: SouthLight Opioid Treatment Program has been engaging in multiple overlapping efforts to increase the availability and utilization of OTP services in Raleigh, North Carolina. This includes opening evening dosing hours, opening access to complete intakes in the afternoon, and multiple community partnerships including with the county jail, recovery court services, county EMS, and a non-medical withdrawal management and residential program.

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, participants will:
  • Identify benefits of engaging in community partnerships to reduce stigma.
  • Describe the benefit of opening access to intakes and treatment for OTP services
  • Identify 3 barriers consumers report that prevent them from engaging in MOUD services.
