Presentation Summary: This proposed workshop aims to enhance the therapeutic alliance with medication-assisted patients in a clinic setting. It emphasizes the importance of forming and maintaining a therapeutic relationship, which research shows accounts for 30% of patient outcomes. The workshop will address the fundamentals of building the therapeutic relationship, using patient feedback to strengthen it, and developing positive expectancy for medication-assisted treatment. The presenter will provide a roadmap for integrating these skills into current clinical approaches and address challenges specific to medication-assisted treatment. The workshop, designed for both beginners and experienced clinicians, will last 70 minutes with a 20-minute Q&A session.
